TIM WEBB
Tim Webb grew holds a BA in International Relations from the American University in Washington, D.C., an Master of Arts in Cinema from San Francisco State University and a Master of Science in International Development from University of California at Davis.
He currently co-coordinates the Film and Video Program in the Department of fine Arts at Allan Hancock College in Santa Maria, CA.
Tim is an award winning filmmaker, photographer and teacher. He taught Film Production and Film Studies at Ngee Ann Polytechnic in Singapore between 1999 and 2002. It was there in the South China Sea and the Andaman Sea that he worked with Michele Simonsen on the series of underwater photographs.
Tim is currently working with Michele Simonsen on a film project exploring the critical role of youth climate activism.
MICHELE SIMONSEN
Michele Simonsen holds an MFA in Film Production from San Francisco State University in San Francisco and a BA in Fine Art from Humboldt State University in Arcata, CA. She has traveled extensively as a photographer and award winning documentary filmmaker. While teaching Film at Ngee Ann Polytechnic in Singapore, she gained access to a glass studio. This allowed her to fulfill a long-standing dream of combining her interests in film, photography and glass.
After returning to the USA, she pursued glass-casting classes at Pilchuck and Bullseye Glass and spends summers doing photography on the rivers in Northern California. In the past two years she has developed a portfolio which is a synthesis of her love for photography and glass.
Michele is currently working with Tim Webb on a film project exploring the critical role of youth climate activism.
